Spanish curriculum for preschool
This is the time of the year when many schools are testing students to evaluate how they much they have learned in the last nine months. And while many think of reading, writing, math when they think of testing at school, the reality is that there are other areas tested for well. In fact, it is in the month of April when many schools administer national foreign language exams. Districts that have more than one high school, for instance, can use a national Spanish exam to measure how the students in the three schools are doing compared to each other. In districts that begin teaching excelerate Spanish classes in elementary rooms, these tests can help justify the continuation of these early language learner programs.
From Spanish for preschoolers to advanced placement Spanish classes in high school, more and more students are taking advantage of the opportunity to learn a valuable skill. By following a well designed Spanish curriculum for children in elementary school and continuing that curriculum through high school, schools are providing students with a skill that can help them in future careers in many fields. As America continues to be a country rich in cultures from around the world, the opportunity to learn second or third language is an opportunity that can pay dividends for many years to come.
Consider some of these facts and figures about the benefits of learning a foreign language at a young age:
  • Spanish is the official language of 21 countries across the world. Interestingly enough, those countries are home to many fun and exquisite travel destinations.
  • A child’s capacity to pronounce foreign, unfamiliar sounds and to absorb new grammar rules is highly enhanced before the age of six. For this reason, it is important to take advantage of this critical time in early development when acquiring language skills comes both easily and naturally.
  • Research indicates that children who speak a second language can learn a third language even faster. For this reason, it is advantageous to take excelerate Spanish classes as soon as they are offered.
  • Spanish is the second most frequently spoken language in the world, according to census reports. To be specific, there are more than 387 million native Spanish speakers, meaning more people on earth speak Spanish than English. For this reason, the opportunities for Spanish speakers around the world continue to expand.
  • The earlier a learner is introduced to a foreign language the better. Most research, in fact, indicates that learning a foreign language before the age of 10 is ideal. Some research indicates that it is even more advantageous to learn a second language before the age of 5 if possible.
  • More than 66% of the world’s children are bilingual, according to the Summer Institute of Linguistics. In America, however, a mere 17% of the total population speaks a second language other than English.
From the earliest excelerate Spanish classes offered by private and public schools alike to the advanced placement classes that are offered in high school, many parents believe that these are opportunities that should not be missed. This is the time of year when many schools are testing students to measure the amount of progress student’s have made during the school year. From math, reading, and writing, to foreign language, both private and public schools use the end of the year as a time to evaluate educational progress. Based on results from these tests, many parents make choices about where they will send their children to school in the future.

If You Have a Disability, These 4 Tips Can Help You Get In Medical School

Special needs students

Getting into medical school is hard to everyone applying. It can be even more of a challenge for students with special needs. Throughout the education process, there are options available. There are schools for students with learning disabilities and places where students can receive special needs education help.andnbsp;

When people think about schools for students with learning disabilities, they may not think of medical schools right away. US News and World Report has published a piece to help special needs students get into medical school. Despite the challenges involved, about 3% of all students in medical schools around the United States have admitted having a disability, according to data from a Journal of the American Medical Association study. This was published in December 2016. Many believe the 3% is a number that is much lower than the actual number of these students who are in medical schools. Students are often hesitant to report learning disabilities, psychological problems, ADHD, and other disabilities they may have. This is too bad because schools are required to help students with disabilities if they know about them.

  • Tell the medical school about your disability. Again, medical schools are not considered to be schools for students with learning disabilities but that does not mean that if you want to be a doctor and have a learning disability that this option is closed off to you. When you tell the medical school about your disability, they have to make accommodations to help you. All institutions of higher learning have disability officers and medical schools are no different. The school wants to help but the questions they ask may be discouraging. Do not give up. Some of the accommodations they made provide include longer times for test taking, they may put you in a distraction-free area to take exams, or other help may be provided, depending on your individual needs. These accommodations can include help when it comes time to become board certified in your medical specialty of choice.
  • Do not stress over any re-evaluation the school may ask for. It is not uncommon for a medical school to want to evaluate your disability. If you attended schools for students with learning disabilities or have documentation from the undergraduate school you attended, you may not have to go through this but if you do, you have documentation and you should have no problem. Just make sure you attend any meetings or interviews they schedule for this purpose.
  • Be careful if you think you are not going to want to let the medical school know about your disability. The can have consequences that may not be immediately clear. When you are in medical school, you may find that you need access to some of the same accommodations that you received if you when to one of the schools for students with learning disabilities or what you were able to get while you were getting your undergraduate degree. If you have not told the school early enough, they may no longer be under any obligation to help you. Moreover, if you need extra time to take an exam, you did not get it, and if you did poorly as a result, it is impossible for them to go back and help you with extra exam time for a test you have already taken.
  • Look for the school that is in the best position to help you. You should ask the schools to which you want to apply if they can accommodate you. Every school has their own way to do things and these can even change from semester to semester (they are always upgrading and changing things like the technology they use). There may also be some limits on the accommodations they can make so understand that any that need to alter their curriculum will not be made. The Journal of the American Medical Association notes that the accommodations that can be most easily made are during the science class part of the medical training but that this becomes harder for medical schools to do as training progresses to the clinical part in the third and fourth years.

For those who wish to pursue their education, online learning can be a legitimate way to advance education as well as their career (as the two often go hand in hand). In fact, the majority of those who take at least one class online do so because it allows them to balance their family life, social life, and existing career. Many people who participate in online learning also said that they like online learning in part because it allows them to study whenever, wherever. Online learning is becoming more and more popular now, with over 30% of all students enrolled in at least one online class, if not more.
Many people choose to pursue online learning in order to advance their career. In fact, as nearly 60% of jobs will soon require a post secondary education at least in the next coming years, online learning is a great way to move forward in one’s career. Nearly half of all people who are taking an online course cite this is their main reason for pursuing online learning. These people are what we call “professional learners,” or those who pursue learning in order to move forward in a career. These professional learners make up over 60% of all online learners.
Many people pursue online learning just for the sake of learning itself. These people, called personal learners, make up around 70% of all people taking at least one online class. Personal learners pursue learning for a number of reasons. One reason, which over 40% of personal learners cite as motivation for them, is to be better involved in their community and volunteer programs. Many personal learners also pursue learning in order to make new friends. Around 80% of personal learners want to learn simply to broaden their own horizons and know more about the world. They said that they wanted to make their lives more interesting and full, and wanted to pursue learning as a way to do that.
No matter what your reason for pursuing online learning, taking an online class is an easy way to grow both professionally and personally. Taking even just one online class can make you a different person than you were before, and open up new doors in your career. It’s important to note that online learning is more popular than ever before, in part because it makes education accessible to more people than ever before, giving people the opportunity to balance getting an education with their social lives, family lives, and existing jobs and careers.

Kneading. It is a powerful tool used to shape different, flexible objects. Kneading is properly known in its effects on dough, such as bread dough or cookie dough. Kneading gets out all the worn out spots and stretched spots in the dough. The important part is to keep needing until the dough has no stretch marks. This is an accomplished when kneading.
Kneading can also be used in a physical sense to refer to a process by which people knead each other to feel stronger physically. While this process can be done at home, there is a whole industry that is focused around touch and kneading. It is called the massage industry and there are some statistics about it.
They are:
  • An average of 19% of adult Americans received at least one massage between July 2015 and July 2016.
  • 89% of consumers agree that massage can be effective in reducing pain.
  • 87% of individuals view massage as being beneficial to overall health and wellness.
  • 82% of massage therapists started practicing massage therapy as a second career.
  • There are 325,000 to 375,000 massage therapists and massage school students in the United States.
  • Today?s massage therapists earn an average wage of $46 an hour.
  • Research estimates that massage therapy was a $12.1 billion industry in the U.S. in 2015.
The masseuse is generally a person who is trained in the art of massage and can deliver powerful results to a body that might be worn out in certain places or have knots and other issues. There are many masseuses in America, with some of them being in large cities, while others in likely small towns.
The masseuse is powerful because they can take a body that has knots and strain and reduce that strain over a period of time. There are many massages that last just an hour but there are some that go over and last an hour and 30 minutes. There are certain areas of the body as well that a masseuse may focus on.
Those areas include the back, because many people possibly tighten their back when they are under stress, thereby keeping the stress in their back. Other areas include the neck, because many people crane their necks over the computer screens while working, which can lead to neck strain. Another area is the shoulders, do to hunching.
There are many who agree that a massage can reduce physical pain. The kneading and the rubbing and the digging can worm out knots in a body and reduce stress. It is a physically relaxing environment, where a person just wears a towel or whatever they want, while the masseuse kneads and digs into them.
A massage can be a relaxing experience, especially if that person has no major issues. However, if a person has a lot of issues, including a lot of knots, the massage might choose to do the massage a little bit stronger to reduce the knots. This can lead to a great deal of pain.
In general, a massage room is relaxing mentally as well. There is soothing music playing often, as well as dim lighting where there are only candles lit. There is also a scent, an aroma, that is usually there during the massage. And the room can feel comfortable as well, an enclosed space that is private.
There are many ways in which a masseuse might get educated about massage. Sometimes, there is likely an in-person course where someone can learn the science behind massage, all the different moves, and all the different parts of the body. This is an important part in a masseuse’s education.
There are many terms to consider for this article. They are sports massage CEU, sports massage continuing education, sports massage specialty, state licensing for massage therapists, traditional CEO options, what are CEUs, what is the NCBTMB, who is eligible for CEU courses, and more.
Continuing education is a possibility for many masseuses. Massage therapy CEU courses online is a popular option. Many see massage therapy CEU courses online as a benefit. It is possible to sign up for massage therapy CEU courses online. And massage therapy CEU courses online can be helpful.
There are other options as well for massage therapy that can be helpful. They often can be found with referrals, references, or asking around. They can be found.

How to Choose the Right Day Care Center

Swimming lessons for preschoolers

The period between birth and when a child reaches the age of three is said to include the most rapid growth in the brain that a person ever experiences. Today, in the United States, a great number of children who are under the age of five are in some sort of formal educational program. It has been estimated that about 87% of these children are in preschools, daycare centers, and nurseries. Many parents are not sure how to choose the right day care center for their child. Here are some things you can do to find the best preschool options for your family.

  1. Start early. If you know you are going to want to find a good day care center or need preschool options, you should start looking well before you plan to enroll your child. There may be a waiting list for the school or program you want. Because it may take longer to talk to different schools and programs and vet all of your options, you will be well served by starting early.
  2. Talk to your friends and family. If you have children, you probably know other people who do as well. One of the best ways to find decent products and services is to get a personal recommendation from someone you know and trust. This is even more true when it comes to how to choose the right day care center. Talk to the people in your life whom you trust about how they found the day care center they use and what they thought of the process. You may not go with the same program but this can help you get started.
  3. Talk to your pediatrician. Your pediatrician can be a great resource for parents. Of course, they can help keep your child healthy but they can also give you a lot of other information about things such as how to choose the right day care center for your child. Because they deal with a large number of parents, they hear about a lot of different options for preschool programs and other programs that may interest you. If you have not talked to them, you should. They may be more helpful than you can imagine.
  4. Look online. You can find just about everything online and when you need to know how to choose the right day care center, a simple search with Google or Bing can yield great results. In the first place, top notch day care centers will have websites and you should be able to get reviews from parents and others. You can also check Yelp, Angie’s List and Facebook for more information. Many cities and towns have great Facebook groups and pages set up to promote local businesses so you should check those out as well.
  5. Go to the centers and tour them. It is not enough to look up day care centers online and call them. You need to take some time to go out and tour them and talk to the staff and the teachers. Here are some things you should ask about:
    • Look at how the kids interact with the staff. This can be very telling. You should listen to the words they use but also look at their body language. Good day care center staff will get down so they are closer to the children they are taking care of.
    • Ask about turnover. You should go with a day care center who treats its staff well and has little in the way of employee turnover. You want to leave your children with people who like working with kids.
    • Ask about their policy for discipline. You should know that they will not be teaching your child things that contradict what you teach them at home.
    • Ask about the schedule. Kids do better when they have a routine. Nap time and the times when they get meals or snacks should be at the same time every day.
  6. Go with your gut. If you go to a place and something does not feel right, keep looking. By the same token, if you get a great feeling from a place, you should listen to that. Your gut instincts are important and can help you.

Education is important, we can all agree on this. The value of a college degree is inarguable. A degree can open doors and provide career pathways that would know otherwise exist. In fact, studies have shown that up to 60% of jobs with require some type of post secondary education by 2020 – just a scant few years from now. But a traditional education is not always the best course for some students, be it because of how they learn or because of their busy lives. Sometimes, learning from home, in an online setting, can provide a doorway to furthering education that may not have existed before.
Not everyone learns best in a classroom – in fact, many people do not. And not everyone has time to take an in person class. Many students – almost 70% – who take classes from home do so because it allows them to juggle other responsibilities like family, a career, and even a social life. The vast majority of online students said they loved taking classes online because it opened up their availability so much. They could study whenever, wherever, when it best fit into their schedules. And online learning is becoming ever the more popular. Even among those who engage in traditional classroom learning, over 30% of students take at least one online course in their time as a student. The overall number of students participating in home study courses is by now over 6 million, according to a 2013 study done by the Babson Survey Research Group.
There are many reasons to participate in some type of home learning, be it an online course or even just online lectures. While many people take online courses to further advance their careers (these account for over 40% of online learners and are classified as “professional learners,” meaning that they are pursuing more education with the purpose of applying it to their career), many people fall under the category of “personal learner.” A personal learner is someone who learns simply to benefit themselves or enrich their lives in some way. Almost 70% of personal learners stated that taking classes at home helped open up new perspectives in life as well as making them feel more well rounded. Many felt that it helped them connect with people and foster new friendships as well.
No matter what the cause for furthering education, be it personal or professional learning, learning from home is always an option that can expand your world and your knowledge of it. Learning from home broadens horizons, opens doors, and connects people. It makes education infinitely more accessible.

Study
With the world relying more and more on the internet, even industries such as education have shifted to the virtual world. Students can now take classes in an online setting, without ever having to set foot in a physical classroom. Although extremely convenient, online learning can be more difficult for some. Online lectures require dedication, motivation, and focus. Otherwise, you can quickly fall behind. These tips will help you succeed in home study courses.

Create a class schedule
One of the biggest advantages of online classes is that you can create your own schedule. You can work around work schedules, family responsibilities, and any other life obligations. In fact, 68% of online students do it because of the ability to balance work, family, and social responsibilities more easily. The mistake, however, is that many students fail to create a class schedule. Although online learning does allow you to make your own schedule, you actually have to make it. Carve out a dedicated amount of time each week to your online studies. Consider these times mandatory and don?t skip them, simply because there is no teacher to take notice.

Attend all online lectures
Most online classes work in a way that students can study on their own time. Teachers upload lectures into a virtual setting. Because students watch them when they are available, teachers really do not have any way of knowing who has watched them and who has not. However, it is important to attend all online lectures. These lectures will help you do well on exams and discussions. They will be an important part of your classroom success. If you skip these online lectures, you are really harming yourself more than anyone else.

Attend in person study groups
It can be difficult to study at home for every exam. Some studying is best done in a group setting. When you attend an online lecture, you miss that social aspect which could help you to further grasp the material. Approximately 64% of personal learners say their learning has helped them to make new friends. Attending in person study groups are not only good for making new social connections but are also beneficial in better learning the class material.

Take online classes that interest you
Some classes are best taken in a classroom setting. These classes would be the ones that do not interest you, but are required for a degree or for career advancement. For example, if you struggle with math, you might not want to take an online math class. It will be harder to pay attention and to succeed. On the other hand, taking online classes that are of interest to you will make it easier to succeed.

About 74% of adults are what we call personal learners. This means that they have participated in at least one of a number of possible activities in the past 12 months to advance their knowledge in something that personally interests them. These activities include reading, taking courses, or attending meetings or events tied to learning more about their personal interests. Online classes are a great way to improve your knowledge or skill level in an area that has always been of interest to you.

Online schools are becoming more prominent than ever before. Even campus colleges now offer online class options. Online lectures can be very useful if you have a lot of life responsibilities to handle, but it is important to remember that it is still a class. It still requires studying, exams, and lecture attendance. These online learning tips will improve your chances of succeeding in an online class.
