What Does an AC Installation Entail?
AC installation is a complicated process. However, it is essential to know the basics when hiring an HVAC installation expert to avoid companies that cut corners. Let’s take a look at what a new AC installation entails.
In the first visit, the AC installation expert will inspect your existing AC and collect information they will need to provide an accurate proposal. The leader will review the job details before beginning the installation process.
The installation process will begin with removing the existing AC once the circuit breaker is turned off. The team will use a recovery machine to remove the refrigerant in the current AC system and then disconnect the AC’s electric wiring.
The expert then preps the location of the new AC by leveling the ground and replacing the pad on which it will be set. Once the new AC is installed, the AC installation expert removes the existing indoor evaporation coil and preps the supply plenum before removing the current copper refrigerant lines.
The expert will install a new evaporation coil, new copper refrigerant lines, the new air conditioner condenser, and the filter dryer.
